Thank you to our Sponsors, Local Dignitaries, Boards of Directors, Friends, Families and Stakeholders who joined together for an unforgettable night under the stars! You are transforming the lives of people with disabilities by uniting with a shared purpose at The Table In The Park!

Lives Are Changing

The impact of the fundraising at Table in the Park for MTC’s  Certificate Program was shared by graduates Andrew and Brian. With MTC’s Clinical Director Christy Nammour looking on, these two young men told our guests how their lives had changed by being a part of this unique, elevated learning program. Andrew studied  logistics and is now an intern at Pepin Distributing Company. Brian came to MTC in May to enroll in the Moffitt certificate program. He graduated in July and is now working full time at Moffitt Cancer Center.

Shattering Barriers 2020 Celebration

Shattering Barriers

Our clients and achievements are recognized at MTC’s signature event, the Shattering Barriers 2020 Celebration. Funds raised from this event help us provide employment training and placement services, in home residential supports and day activities to over 500 individuals with disabilities in our community.

We were honored to have Dr. Temple Grandin as the keynote speaker at the Shattering Barriers 2020 event.

Grandin, an animal behaviorist and livestock industry consultant,
is also an autism spokesperson. Diagnosed with autism in adulthood, Grandin was one of the first individuals on the autism spectrum to document the insights she gained from her personal experience.

Grandin has been an outspoken proponent of autism rights and neurodiversity movements. Grandin was named in the “Heroes” category of Time 100, an annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. She was the subject of the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning semi-biographical film, Temple Grandin.

“Home is Where the Heart Is” Campaign

Thank you to the Donors, Guests, everyone who made our first virtual fundraising campaign, ” Home is Where the Heart Is” a success for the people we serve! Your compassion and generous financial support at the start of the pandemic met new needs, helping individuals with disabilities deal with unemployment and anxiety, and addressing the challenges of social isolation required by the “safer-at-home” orders.

Thank you!
