MTC DHH 2026 Summer Opportunities

This Summer, MTC’s Investing in the Next Generation of Tampa Bay’s Workforce.

The DHH/ASL edition is especially close to our mission. Access to emerging technology shouldn’t be limited by communication barriers, and we’re proud to offer:  Paid internships, Industry certifications, and Employment assistance fully in ASL.
MacDonald Training Center (MTC) 2026 Summer Career Camps!

FREE – for students ages 14-21, in school with an IEP or 504 Plan, referred by their VR Counselors. Please contact your VR Counselor or local VR office for a referral. Camps are held in person. Students must be able to attend all four days (20 hours).

Each 20-hour camp gives students hands-on experience in skills that translate directly to the workplace:
→ Workplace Readiness Career Camp

→ Artificial Intelligence (AI) Camp

→ AI Camp — July 6 – July 9:  Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ASL) Edition

→ Workplace Readiness Career Camp — July 13 – July 16:  Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ASL) Edition

MTC offers comprehensive Day Services, individualized Employment Services, enriching Youth Camp Experiences, supportive Residential Services that promote independence and community living. MTC’s eMerge Career Collaborative provides innovative Post-Secondary Education.

Shop greeting cards created by MTC Fine Artists—available online and at our Tampa location. You can also purchase repurposed parade beads, sorted, and packaged by volunteers. In partnership with the City of Tampa, these reclaimed beads are kept out of Tampa Bay and sold back to parade crews for local celebrations.

MacDonald Training Center (MTC) transforms the lives of people with all disabilities through innovations in vocational training, employment services, residential supports and life enrichment opportunities. MTC’s programs are customized to meet the needs and learning styles of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum disorder, and those who are Deaf and hard of hearing.
