Where Hope Became Action – Inside MTC’s Community Recognition Dinner

Hope in Action – what an unforgettable evening.

Hope in Action – what an unforgettable evening.

On April 16, 2026, MacDonald Training Center (MTC) welcomed our community to The Cuban Club for a night that was more than a celebration – it was a reflection of what’s possible when people come together with purpose.

From the moment guests arrived…

There was a sense of connection in the air. The evening was thoughtfully guided by Board Chair Judit Tejada, grounded by a heartfelt invocation from Marcus Shields – a Raymond James Bank employee and proud MTC graduate – and brought to life through the inspiring vision shared by President & CEO Karenne Levy.

With warmth and energy, John Wedelken and the Starr Entertainment Team carried us through the night.

We were honored to recognize our distinguished honorees:

Bank of America, The Florida Aquarium, Raymond James, and The Honorable Fran Davin – whose leadership continues to expand opportunity and redefine what is possible.

Story with IMPACT.

One of the most powerful moments of the evening came as Thalia Arbelaez, MTC graduate and Moffitt Cancer Center team member, shared her story – a reminder that behind every program is a life transformed. That message was echoed in Eric Kreiger’s call to action, inviting each of us to turn belief into impact.

The evening was beautifully underscored by the music of Matthew Weihmuller, whose jazz performance created a space for reflection, celebration, and connection.

Putting Hope Into Action.

Because of our sponsors, board members, graduates, participants, volunteers, and guests, hope was not just spoken. It was lived.
