MacDonald Training Center
Operational Updates During COVID-19

Adult Day Training

On August 31st, we welcomed back clients to Adult Day Training programs at both our Cypress Street location in Tampa and new location in Sabal Park, Brandon. Both in-person programs have specific and robust COVID-19 safety guidelines in place. To maintain a safe environment and reduce the risk of exposure to the coronavirus, all clients, employees and visitors are required to wear a mask and have temperature checks. We’ve implemented additional precautions including increased cleanings, employee training, and reconfigured learning areas. We appreciate your understanding and support during this time.

Virtual Learning

We continue to offer virtual instruction via Zoom, Google Classrooms and You Tube!

eMpowered Training instructor- led classes available online for all ADT clients.  Contact Kaylin Villeme to enroll.

eMerge Career Collaborative Certificate Based Training continues virtually!

Teacher led, interactive classes are ongoing as part of MTC’s innovative  eMerge Career Collaborative (formerly Career SUCCESS) certificate based training in technology, manufacturing, healthcare and hospitality.

Short Term Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) and Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) Instructor led, online classes started  August 3rd.  Classes are now primarily virtual, but some in person instruction and hands on training will be included. With exponentially increased online shopping and shipping as the nation continues to practice social distancing for the near future, employers will need workers with logistics training and certification to meet demand in the post-COVID-19 economy. MTC is one of only two testing sites in this area.

Preparing for the post COVID workplace, and meeting the skyrocketing demand for higher levels of sanitizing/disinfecting required for office, retail, restaurant, hotel and healthcare settings, MTC is expanding our Environmental Services (ES)program, adding two new ISSA/Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) Certified Custodial Technician (CCT) and CCT Advanced courses.
