These customized educational programs provide the opportunity for the student to learn in a caring, supportive environment with the opportunity to earn industry-standard certifications in:

  • Technology: Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), and IC3 Digital Literacy *Licensed by the Florida Department of Education
    • Tech2Work (A unique collaboration between MTC with The Learning Academy Services at USF)
  • Healthcare and Hospital Technical Environmental Services in Hospitality/Healthcare: Moffitt/MTC Collaboration *Licensed by the Florida Department of Education
  • Globally Recognized Quality Customer Service
  • Manufacturing Logistics: Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) and Certified Logistics Technician

Courses are taught by subject matter experts familiar with the differing learning styles of neurodiverse individuals, autistic students, and individuals with other disabilities.

Employment readiness is customized. Students have the opportunity to develop their workplace skills with MTC’s Success Coach from Admissions to successful employment. Workplace readiness is overseen by MTC’s Clinical Director, a board certified behavior analyst.


The top requested skill in online employment ads is proficiency in Microsoft Office, according to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.  MTC offers this training in our EXCEL, Excellence in Computer Education and Learning technology lab. An adjunct professor teaches the curriculum and certifications include Microsoft Office Specialist, and IC3, which is a college level course used in universities around the world. The technology program is approved as a  Miscellaneous Training Program through VR (Vocational Rehabilitation).

  • IC3 Digital Literacy Certification Courses

Tech2Work is a unique collaboration with USF’s The Learning Academy

This globally recognized certification provides knowledge in the most critical elements of technology today. The course reviews computer hardware, software programs, operating systems, computer applications, and the use of the internet and social media. It is the foundational course required for MTC’s Tech2Work unique collaboration with The Learning Academy at USF. The Tech2Work program is a unique two course program, where students learn at two locations, MTC and USF. All students will receive a USF courtesy ID allowing them to access campus bus, HART city buses, library, clubs, events, discount perks and Bull bucks (can be used to make purchases for food and other items on the University of South Florida campus).

  •     Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification Courses

Provides industry-leading education and assessments of skills and knowledge through our new project-based testing, giving students and professionals real-world exercises to appraise their understanding of Microsoft Office- Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, & Outlook.

Environmental Services in Hospitality/ Healthcare:

Healthcare and Hospitality  are taught in a fully outfitted mini-hospital room donated by Moffitt Cancer Center. Patient experience expectations and customer service best practices are at the heart of this service excellence curriculum. The Moffitt/MTC curriculum was jointly developed. Successful graduates have the unique opportunity to apply for employment at Moffitt Cancer Center without the customary experience typically required for an Environmental Services Technician 1 position.


MTC’s logistics and supply chain training focuses on the skills and knowledge required to manage materials from the receiving, storage, picking, packing and shipping process. The goal is to develop the individual’s skills and knowledge to the level of those required by the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC), in order to be certified as a Certified Logistics Associate (CLA). Students may advance to earn Certified Logistics Technician(CLT) credentials. MTC is one of only two testing sites in the area.

  • General Admissions Criteria: Students must read or write at a 9th grade level or higher.
    Must have a lifelong or acquired disability.
