Career SUCCESS prepares individuals with all disabilities for in-demand jobs in fast growing sectors in Florida: Technology, Manufacturing, Healthcare/Hospitality.

MTC’s unique and innovative post secondary Certificate Based Vocational training programs, are taught by subject matter experts familiar with the differing learning styles of NeuroDiverse individuals, Autistic students, and individuals with other intellectual or physical disabilities. Each post secondary program provides the opportunity for the student to learn in a caring, supportive environment with the opportunity to earn  industry-standard certifications. The goal is maximize the student’s potential and talents, to obtain employment in a field of interest. Industry based certifications demonstrate that the program graduate has the content knowledge, hands-on technical training, personal and professional skills required for employment and career advancement.

  • Certifications include Microsoft Office Specialist, Microsoft Technical Associate and IC3 showing proficiency in computer fundamentals, electronic recyling, software refurbishment and hardware repair.

    The Certified Logistics Associate and Certified Logistics Technician program raises the level of performance of logistics workers to assist the individuals in finding higher-wage jobs. Healthcare and Hospitality Technical certifications include OSHA10 Health and Safety, HACHSP, Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional, and (ISSA) Cleaning Management Institute certifications.

Soft skills and workplace navigation are taught, overseen by MTC’s Clinical Director, a board certified behavior analyst.

Employment readiness is customized. Students have the opportunity to develop their workplace skills with MTC’s Success Coach from Admissions to successful employment.


MTC’s logistics and supply chain training focuses on the skills and knowledge required to manage materials from the receiving, storage, picking, packing and shipping process. The goal is to develop the individual’s skills and knowledge to the level of those required by the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC), in order to be certified as a Certified Logistics Associate (CLA). Students may advance to earn Certified Logistics Technician(CLT) credentials. MTC is one of only two testing sites in the area.

  • Manufacturing Skills Standards Council’s Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) & Certified Logistics Technician Courses (CLT)

The Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) program teaches students the critical elements of the logistics industry such as: material handling, inventory management, shipping & receiving material, quality control, pick & pack, safety principles, work communication practices, use of computer systems, and equipment safety.

The Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) courses review how to receive products, stock products, process orders, prepare shipments, maintain inventory, and how to handle hazardous materials in a safe manner, and prepares students for a supervisory role in logistics.

Environmental Services in Hospitality and Healthcare:

Healthcare and Hospitality  are taught in a fully outfitted mini-hospital room donated by Moffitt Cancer Center. Patient experience expectations and customer service best practices are at the heart of this service excellence curriculum. The Moffitt/MTC curriculum was jointly developed. Successful graduates have the unique opportunity to apply for employment at Moffitt without the customary experience typically required.

Certifications include OSHA10 Health and Safety, and (ISSA) Cleaning Management Institute Custodial Technician certifications.

  • Environmental Service Program / ISSA Certified Custodial Technician

Program teaches and certifies students the industry’s best practices in sanitation, customer service, safety and health, and employer expectations. Program completion and graduation can be used as the six month work experience requirement for Moffitt Cancer Center’s Environmental Services Technician 1 position.


The top requested skill in online employment ads is proficiency in Microsoft Office, according to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.  MTC offers this training in our EXCEL, Excellence in Computer Education and Learning technology lab. An adjunct professor teaches the curriculum and certifications include Microsoft Office Specialist, Microsoft Technical  Specialist and IC3, which is a college level course used in universities around the world.   • IC3 Digital Literacy Certification Courses

This globally recognized certification provides knowledge in the most critical elements of technology today. The course reviews computer hardware, software programs, operating systems, computer applications, and the use of the internet and social media. it is the foundational course required for MTC’s Tech2Work collaboration with The Learning Academy at USF. The Tech2Work program is a unique two course program, where students learn at two locations, MTC and USF.

  •     Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification Courses

Provides industry-leading education and assessments of skills and knowledge through our new project-based testing, giving students and professionals real-world exercises to appraise their understanding of Microsoft Office- Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, & Outlook.
