Maintenance Specialist  

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age and has a high school diploma or equivalent.  Basic experience in plumbing, building repair, grounds keeping, vehicle maintenance and other related knowledge of maintenance procedures required. Valid HVAC Certification Required.  Valid Driver’s License required and clean MRV.

Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies by scheduling and/or completing required inspections. (Emergency Lighting, Back Flow Testing, Load Bank Testing, Fire Communication Testing, Sprinkler Inspections, Generators, AC Filters, Door Latching Tests, Vehicles, wells, etc.)
  • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance: HVAC filters, septic and water systems, drinking water tests, door latching tests, emergency exit tests, and other NFPA required testing.
  • Repair/replace structures such as sinks, showers, floors, walls.
  • Coordinate, prioritize and complete work orders and special projects with maintenance lead.
  • Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for facility maintenance.
  • Work with location managers to ensure minimal interruption of program services.
  • Increase operational effectiveness & efficiency of MTC’s buildings and infrastructure.
  • Update certifications, professional and MTC trainings and knowledge of industry standards.
  • Service appliances including washing machine, dryer, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher.
  • Coordinate with contractors and acquire estimates when needed. (AC Replacement, Vehicle Maintenance, Tree removal etc.)
  • Pick up and deliver donations.
  • Monitor and control supplies and equipment; order supplies and tools as necessary.
  • Move furniture, equipment and appliances: disassemble and assemble as needed.
  • Transport vehicles for repairs or use at various facilities.
  • Repair and maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.  Hours may vary depending on business needs.  On-call availability nights and weekends required.

Hourly pay rate:  $16.00 – $18.00.  Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Billing Specialist

MacDonald Training Center is a leader and innovator in services to people with developmental disabilities for over sixty years. MTC’s primary areas of service includes educational, vocational and residential supports for persons with disabilities. Additionally MTC provides supported employment counseling and placement services for people with a wide variety of disabilities.

We are seeking for a Billing Specialist to prepare, process and submit all aspects of Employment Services billing for reimbursements.

 

Job Duties include:

  • Using provided data prepare, submit and process billing utilizing the State of Florida system software.
  • Prepare and submit billings for Medicaid Waiver, Vocational Rehabilitation, REBA in Employment Services.
  • Ensure all Employment billing issues and client concerns are monitored and resolved timely.
  • Respond to requests and inquiries from WSC, VR Counselors and Employers.
  • Monitor billing progress including status reporting, work-in progress and other key process aspects.
  • Routes charts/cases for follow-up.
  • Provide submission and problem solving assistance where needed.
  • Prepares statistical and other reports related to employment services billings.
  • Perform data entry.
  • Maintains accurate and complete files on clients receiving employment services.
  • Sets up files in accordance with standard procedures.
  • File all documents relating to a client.
  • Pull and prepare files if needed.
  • Assign new cases to the Job Developers.

This is a part time position with work hours between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

Pay rate is $13.00 – $15.00 per hour.

Education/Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent and two years’ experience in billing and bookkeeping.  Experience in Medicaid waiver and Vocation Revenue billing systems in State of Florida is preferred.

Working knowledge of computers and business equipment.  Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite application is required.  Detail orientated and strong knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling, typing skills and communication skills are a must.

Personal Supports Coach

This position is a wonderful opportunity for individuals wishing to have some schedule flexibility and enjoy a rewarding career opportunity. We are seeking Personal Supports Coaches for our Personal Supports services in our Supported Living program.  Personal Support Coaches support and assist individuals with disabilities in all areas of daily living including, but not limited to:  basic cooking, housekeeping, personal care, community inclusion, meal planning, money management and other daily living skills.  Supports provided by coaches may be delivered at the individual’s home.

Live-in Pay rate is $9.50 per hour.

Relief or On-call Pay rate is $10.00 per hour.

Various work schedule available for overnights, weekend, evenings and/or early morning hours.

Part-time and Part-time on-call positions in the Tampa and Plant City area.

The ADT Skills Coach provides training and instruction to adults with disabilities in the areas of community inclusion, job training, vocational skill acquisition, production work, daily living skills, life-enrichment activities and other skills needed to develop independence, work and self-advocacy skills.

This is a full time position with work hours between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

Pay rate is $9.50 per hour.

ADT Skills Instructor

MTC day services includes vocational skills training and life enrichment activities from computer lab and fine arts instruction to recreational outreaches for people with developmental disabilities. Additionally MTC provides supported employment counseling and placement services for people with a wide variety of disabilities.

We are seeking an ADT Instructor to lead a team to coordinate trainings and instruction to adults with disabilities in the Adult Day Training Program.

Job Duties include:

  • Provide support and supervision to consumers to assist them with achieving the goals as listed in their implementation plans.
  • Develop and review implementation plans on an annual basis with the consumer and team member and document review of plan with consumer and team member.
  • Collect consumer data to complete program outcome reports on a quarterly basis.
  • Review consumer files to ensure required documentation is maintained in compliance with regulatory and auditing agencies.
  • Prepare implementation plans and annual summary reports.
  • Coordinate and/or provide training and assistance to team members.
  • Complete all required employee training on an annual or renewal basis.

This is a full time position with work hours between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

Pay rate is $13.00 – $16.00 per hour.

Education/Experience Requirements:

Associate’s degree and two years of work experience in developmental disabilities or related field.  Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviors is a must.  Preferred Behavior Assistant and/or PCM/SKIP/Safety Care certifications.  Experience working with electronic health record system is a plus.
